Surveying challenge

Storm Geomatics surveyors carried out some vital measurements on the Copley Flood Alleviation Scheme in the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire. The surveyors measured levels and capacities on the flood storage area (pictured) and the spillway from the River Calder. Cross sections were also measured on the main River Calder and produced as Flood Modeller Pro files to create a model of the river in that location. The Copley Flood Alleviation Scheme is part of a wider scheme to protect 1600 homes and businesses across Calderdale. Read more about it here.
