St Austell
Surveyors just missed the holiday season on the Cornish Riviera when they mobilised to model seven rivers in and around St Austell. Teams provided a staged delivery of the data so the client could start working on river models in parallel with the survey. Unfortunately the only beaches the surveyors saw were where the rivers met the sea!
Restoration works are planned for Burghfield Weir near Reading. Surveyors have carried out a detailed topographic survey of the river and pools around the weir to provide critical information to engineers for the restoration project. The water was deep in the pools and required a boat and echo sounder to capture the data. Our small boat system can be seen to the right, notice the man on the bow is used to keep the boat balanced for higher quality data.
