Trainee Surveyor

Storm Geomatics Limited is a specialist survey company that concentrates its resources on surveying for the water engineering business. Our company has built a reputation among consulting engineers as one of the leaders in capturing georeferenced data for river and floodplain modelling, still water surveys, environmental surveys, and water-based construction. Storm Geomatics is looking to scale up its operations, increase capacity, and move into new and previously undiscovered markets.

You will receive on-the-job training that will eventually progress you to surveyorlevel status. Approved Development Scheme qualifications within the Chartered
Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors are also attainable through a company scheme.

The work will give you an opportunity to travel all over the UK, and the types of projects you will be involved in include:

• River Surveys
• Still Water Surveys
• Near Shore Surveys
• Setting Out
• Topographic Surveys
  The successful applicant should ideally possess the following skills and attributes:
• Hardy outdoor type
• Physically fit
• A real team player with aspirations to grow within the company
• Understanding of technology and computers
• Previous work experience is a must, preferably in an outdoor job such as
  building, farming, or forestry (no previous surveying experience is needed)
• Ability to work away from home on weekdays
• Full clean driving licence
• Fluent in English
• Ability to swim
• Ability to work on your own initiative
