Geo Business
Geo Business is the new major geospatial event for our industry which is supported by CICES, TSA and RICS. All major players within the geospatial community will be at the event, whether exhibiting, presenting, demonstrating or just attending. Mike Hopkins – Managing Director of Storm Geomatics has been invited on the technical conference committee to assess papers submitted for presentation at the event. The business design centre in London is the venue for the event and the exhibition hall is very quickly filling up with companies from around the globe booking space. For a comprehensive look at the event have a look at the website www.geobusinessshow.com.
It was time to relax early in September as the workforce descended on Mike [&] Polly’s garden for a feast of food and drinks at the annual BBQ. Mike’s beloved shed “The Parkland Arms” was the centre piece of the event, serving bottled ales, cold lagers and chilled wines. Food was prepared by local caterer Hilary Bryan and the meat was supplied from local Shipston butchers Rightons. We had a DIY coal BBQ so surveyors could cook their steaks to their liking! The weather was very kind to us and perhaps the greatest part of the evening was the first few drinks overlooking the rising mist on the Parkland!!
