Bewdley Property Level Protection Survey (PLP)
Bewdley Property Level Protection Survey (PLP) has been undertaken in December in association with the EA. Approximately 55 property threshold levels around Bewdley were surveyed. In November 2000, Bewdley suffered serious flooding. By November 2005 and ‘invisible’ flood defence was completed, where 450m of demountable flood defence was built. The results of the PLP Survey will be used as part of a new scheme where if eligible, residents can apply for a grant to protect their homes from any future flooding.
All of the surveyors at Storm Geomatics participated in a training day with C.Scope. The aim of this session was to give the surveyors theory and practical knowledge of how to locate pipes and cables. The course went through the importance of using and understanding location equipment and taught the surveyors how to operate the C.Scope range. After being shown how to handle and operate the equipment, the surveyors were given the opportunity to gain some hands-on experience using the C.Scope Range.
